Jacob’s passion for biology has been fully focused on improving the human condition. In college at UC Davis his studies were focused on bioengineering. At UCSF he was using molecular biology and biochemistry to understand the process of heart failure. At UC Berkeley, for his PhD and Post-Doc he was developing a clearer understanding of cellular aging and the regulation of cellular metabolism.
At CB Therapeutics he is fully focused on protein and genetic engineering to create yeast that turns sustainable feed stocks into therapeutic compounds. When not furthering the science of cellular agriculture in the lab, Jacob thinks about being in the lab to further the science of cellular agriculture.
